Team 7-3 Friday Forecast: May 26- May 29, 2009
 
Mr. Carani Science: We continue our study of Genetics by looking at patterns of inheritance. We’ll have a quiz on Wednesday, then our last test will be the end of next week (either June 4th or June 5th). REMINDER: Any student who signed up for Frog Dissection must have a way to get home.

Dr. Engquist Math   1: Quiz on Investigation 3 Friday. Study your notes and daily work.
Dr. Engquist Math 2nd,3rd,5th, and 7th:   Quiz Wednesday on Investigations 1,2,3.   

Ms. Engstrom Literacy-5th and 7th hours:  Next week we will continue to draft our persuasive essays, begin to draft our persuasive speeches, and continue our work with And Then There Were None.
Ms. Engstrom Literacy 1st, 2nd, 3rd: Next week we will continue our study of monologues and public speaking by beginning to draft and practice our individual monologues.

Mrs. Hagedorn/ Mrs. Valdivia Literacy - 1st, 2nd
We will continue with our monologue unit. We will practice reading monologues and begin writing our own to share. We will also continue with our read aloud, Story Time by Edward Bloor, with a Doodle book and reading responses.
Mrs. Hagedorn Literacy 3rd, 5th, 7thsee Hagedorn’s 1st and 2nd.

Mr. Hancock Social Studies:  Next week we will complete the discussion on the many battles and events during the Civil War and proceed to end the semester with a focus on Reconstruction after the end of the war.

Mrs. Valdivia Language Arts:   Continue reading Part 3 of Tangerine. Complete climax, falling action, symbolism and themes in Tangerine  journals.
Mrs. Valdivia Science- 7th hour: Work on cell models in class. Review the main parts of the cell and the parts of the microscope for Quiz on Thursday, 5/28. Complete animal and plant cell microscope labs.
 
Parents: No school Monday, May 24th due to Memorial Day Holiday. Please note: the weather is becoming warmer and students are beginning to wear their summer apparel. Please remember to check to see what your child is wearing prior to their leaving home. If shorts or skirts are too short, or if undergarments are showing, students will be given oversize shirts to wear and sweat pants that are available.
