NEWS FOR 7-2 STUDENTS
March 15-19, 2010
 
Language Arts: Mrs. Braglia’s, Mrs.Stocker’s, and Mrs. Monken’s students continue with vocabulary, spelling and grammar skills each day, and there will be a daily skills grammar quiz on Tuesday (over days 106-120). All students have finished the rough drafts & peer editing for their persuasive papers. Final copies will be typed on Monday and Tuesday. We’ll be reading Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors in class next week.
 
All Language Arts Students have their next written Book Report assignment, and their 3rd quarter personal reading goal due, on Wednesday, March 24th!
 
Social Studies: Mr. McPeak’s classes: Next week we will wrap up our study of the Renaissance and the Reformation by looking at the reasons the reformation occurred. The students will finish this unit late in the week, and will have the unit exam before we leave for spring break.
 
Science: Mr. Stacey’s classes concluded their study of disease and immunology with a test on Friday. Results will be available Monday. We then enter the world of Genetics.
 
Math: Mrs. Notter’s classes1st period –Our focus for the week is on parabolas. Students will identify features of parabolas and identify connections between tables, graphs, equations, and the context of a quadratic equation.
Periods 2, 4, 5, and 7 –Students will continue to identify patterns of change in tables, graphs, and equations.
 All classes: Please check your child’s math binder frequently to see their progress!
 
Parents: Please check your child’s planner for information on all classes!
